ResilienceLink Responder Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026
ResilienceLink Consulting, LLC provides ResilienceLink Responder, a companion app that connects field resources to an organization’s ResilienceLink Command deployment. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Responder app. Your organization manages its deployment, resource roster, authorized users, and operational use of the information.
Information handled by the app
- Deployment and resource information: the organization and deployment identifiers, agency identifier, assigned resource identifier, resource name and type, check-in status, and any supervisor-approved assignment details.
- Check-in and security information: the agency code and any recovery code you enter are sent to our service to validate access. The service uses an app-generated anonymous authentication identifier, app/device attestation information, and assignment authorization tokens to protect check-in and location updates. An anonymous authentication identifier does not mean that activity cannot be associated with an assigned resource.
- Location information: when you grant location permission and start sharing, the app sends precise latitude, longitude, location accuracy, and associated timing information for your assigned resource. The service stores current location and location-history records for deployment operations.
- Operational messages: pause and assignment-ending reasons, missing-resource requests, and related status or audit events that you submit.
- Technical and support information: our hosting and security providers process request, network, and security information needed to deliver and protect the service. If you contact support, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, issue description, app version, or device model.
Camera and location permissions
Camera access is used to read deployment QR codes. The app does not upload photos or video from QR scanning, and does not require microphone access for scanning.
Location sharing starts when you choose to start it after check-in. If you enable background sharing and grant the required permission, updates can continue while the app is in the background. You can pause sharing or end your assignment in the app, and you can change permissions in your device settings. Stopping sharing does not delete location or operational records already received by the service.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to verify resource access, associate a resource with a deployment, display resource location and status to authorized organization users, manage supervisor requests, and protect and troubleshoot the service.
Operational information is available to your organization’s authorized users according to their access permissions. We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud services for functions including authentication, app attestation, hosting, and data storage. Apple provides device attestation used to help verify the app. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address security incidents.
The Responder app does not include advertising or cross-app advertising-tracking features.
Storage, retention, and requests
The app stores assignment authorization information in the device’s secure storage so it can restore an assignment. The service retains deployment, resource, location-history, and operational records for organizational use. Ending an assignment or archiving a record does not automatically delete those records.
To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your resource or deployment, contact your organization’s administrator and email admin@resiliencelink.com. We may need to verify the request and coordinate with the organization that manages the records. Retention and deletion can depend on operational needs and applicable requirements.
Security
We use access controls, credential validation, app attestation, and encrypted network connections to help protect information. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
